NUMBER 55 - APRIL 1, 2019
You would think that if the weasel-dick conniving politicians in Miami who can't seem to pass up an opportunity to wrap themselves around the Venezuelan flag really cared about what was going on in that country they'd hop on a plane, fly down there and go out into the streets with the people opposed to Maduro as a real way to show their solidarity.
But that takes real courage, and real courage is in short supply when it comes to these Miami politicians who continually grandstand about their commitment to patriotism, freedom and democracy in other countries while trying, in every way, to abuse and undermine democracy in this city and county through their own twisted behavior.
The people of Venezuela have problems, a lot of problems, and they certainly have a right and an expectation that folks in other countries, including ours should offer support for their plight, but this constant, unrelenting scramble by the Mayors of Miami and Miami-Dade County, along with the camera hogging actions of Commissioner "Comemerida" Carollo have just gotten completely out of hand.
Last Thursday, after the dustup at the City Commission meeting between me and Carollo, he left the City Hall and never returned.
The excuse that supposedly came from his office was that his wife was sick, but Raul Martinez, on his radio show on Caracol 1260, reported that the real reason that Carollo bolted from City Hall was that he found out that Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, his arch enemy, and competitor for the affections and attention of interim President Juan Guaidó and his wife, had gone to meet Fabiana Rosales at the Fort Lauderdale airport, and Carollo took off in hot pursuit to try and make sure he got in the photos.
But the Boy Mayor, acting like he was greeting a movie star coming to his city did, only he had to do it at an airport in another county.
IF THESE SELF-SERVING MORONS DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH THINGS TO FIGHT ABOUT IN MIAMI, NOW MAYOR FRANCIS SUAREZ OF MIAMI, MAYOR CARLOS GIMENEZ OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, AND COMMISSIONER "COMEMERIDA" CAROLLO ARE FIGHTING OVER WHO CAN SHOW THE MOST LOVE FOR THE PEOPLE OF VENEZUELA
Incredible feeling to welcome @FabiiRosales to South Florida!
The next day, Commissioner "Comemerida" got his chance, when his pal, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos 'Although my sons are lobbyists we never talk business' Gimenez, held his own meet-and-greet with the interim first lady, which included a Key To The County, and I was told that Commissioner "Comemerida," along with his wife sat in the front row reserved for county commissioners, and refused to move.
He also made sure to position himself so as to be in every photograph.
Not to be deterred, Francis Suarez also arranged to give the nice lady from Venezuela a Key To The City.
About the best thing that can be said about all this mad scambling for photo ops by these ass-kissing morons is that after Carollo left the Commission meeting there was a notable difference in attitude and behavior among the other commissioners, and some people even commented that for a brief while they tried acting like adults concerned with talking about public policy without an interruption from Commissioner "Comemerida" about how things used to be when he was mayor.
MEANWHILE IN HOMESTEAD, THE VICTIMS OUR OWN IMMIGRATION CRISIS RECEIVE NO LOVE FROM ANY OF THESE SELF-SERVING PROTECTORS OF FREEDOM AND LIBERTY
If the Cuban children who were flown to Miami during the Pedro Pan flights between 1960 and 1962 had been taken from those airplanes and put in detention camps, you can bet that we'd still be hearing about those abuses today.
The Homestead detention center where over 1000 children separated from their parents at the Mexican border is approximately 25 miles from Miami City Hall, yet with the exception of one photo op visit by Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, none of these posers has ever been there, uttered a word of support for these children, or introduced a resolution of support demanding that they be returned to their parents.
The crisis on the Mexican border is the outcome of many bad or questionable foreign policy decisions made by our country over decades, and unsolvable in the short term especially now that this president has dec ided hewants to punish these countries by giving them less foreign aid.
One thing however is absolutely clear when it comes to the pandering that occurs in the City of Miami, and in much of the rest of the country as well, and that is the tacit racism that exists among many politicians in our community who believe that "White" latins coming from Cuba, Venezuela, and other South American countries are more worthy of support and aid then the "Brown" latins coming from Mexico and the other Central American countries.
This incessant scramble to demonstrate whose more supportive of the ant-Maduro forces resulted in a bizarre moment several commission meetings ago when Commissioner "Comemerida" actually whined about how aggrieved he had been when after introducing a Resolution supporting the Venezuelan people, the Mayor usurped his Resolution with one of his own, and only because it was for the greater good he decided not challenge the Mayor's actions.
These people behave like they've got cowshit for brains and the moral compass of hyenas - with apologies to the hyenas for comparing them to the likes of Commissioner "Comemerida" and the Boy Mayor.
The failure of Miami's politicians to recognize and speak out against the housing of all these children in a prison in our community - and make no mistake About it, the detention facility in Homestead is a prison, operated the way all prisons operate - is a serious example of the moral failure on their part and underscores just how little they truly believe in the values of freedom, human rights and democracy that they constantly claim to embrace.
You'll never catch one of these pandering weasel-dicks ever introducing a resolution like the one above demanding that our government return the kids in Homestead and around the country to their parents.
It's Miami, Bitches!
