Support The Crespogram

NUMBER 69 - APRIL 29, 2019

While a small number of Miami Shores residents were vocal in their support for Christian Ulvert, none of them put any money where their mouths were, and so the latest, and last campaign reports filed last Friday show just one resident in the Village donating $25.00 to Christian Ulvert's runoff campaign, along with $8,300.00 coming from folks like the owners of the Magic City and Naples-Fort Myers Casinos kicking in $2,000.00, the Miami Realtors PAC kicking in $1, 000,00, and several other Ulvert political cronies also kicking in $1,000.00 each.

In comparison, Stephen Loffredo received a total of $2,100.00, that included $1000,00 donated by himself, and $400.00 by his wife.

Tomorrow we'll see if money talks and bullshit walks, or whether a significant number of residents actually paid attention to what happened these last few months, and go to the polls wondering why, and how a candidate for Village Council collected $56,360.00 for a job that pays $1 a year.

FROM BEGINNING TO END, CHRISTIAN ULVERT RELIED ON PAC'S TIED TO CASINOS, REALTORS AND FELLOW POLITICIAL OPERATIVES TO FUND HIS CAMPAIGN, AND HIS FINAL REPORT SHOWS THAT HE ENDED WITH A TOTAL OF $56,360.00, WHILE STEPHEN LOFFREDO COMES IN A DISTANT SECOND WITH A TOTAL OF $6,250.00
