DAVID WINKER FILES A SECOND LAWSUIT, WHICH NOW BRINGS THE TOTAL OF LAWSUITS FILED TO STOP THE MELREESE LAND GRAB TO 4

Coconut Grove attorney Doug Muir filed the first lawsuit even before the City Commission voted to approve a referendum vote on the backroom deal cooked up by Francis Suarez and Jorge Mas.

That lawsuit is currently before the 3rd DCA.

Bruce Matheson filed the 2nd lawsuit, and that case is supposed to be heard on February 4th.

David Winker, another local attorney first filed an ethics complaint alleging that Jorge Mas, his brother, David Beckham and Marcelo Claure had failed to either register to lobby on behalf of their project, or had not complied with the lobbying requirements to attend a workshop on how lobbyists are supposed to conduct themselves after they had registered.

Now Winker has filed a 2nd lawsuit - I posted a copy of Winker's first lawsuit last week - that deals with the incompetence of the city to properly describe what parcels of land were included in the deal.

It's a technical issue, but as is often the case, the devil is in the details, and it looks like the City of Miami is one devil that doesn't believe in details.

To better understand what the detail are, and why they are important, the first document below is an explanation of the lawsuit prepared by Winker, followed by the lawsuit itself.
