THE FIRST PART OF THIS SORRY MESS OF A STORY

The first part of this story involves the video clip below.  It is a clip that was shot by District I City Commission candidate Frank Pichel, along with Pastor Jose Garcia and an unknown woman.

They were in a restaurant, and Pichel is questioning an unidentified woman who is alleged to be an undocumented Venezuelan woman who was part of the team of Venezuelan women that Alex Diaz de la Portilla used in this latest campaign for the District 1 Commission seat, and in his unsuccessful effort to get elected to the County Commission last year.

I wrote about the revelations revealed in various WahatsApp exchanges about some of those workers tearing up ballots, and you can read about that HERE.

The worst part about the below video is that Frank Pichel and his pastor buddy Jose Garcia were involved, because Pichel is a guy who is in his own way just as dirty and Diaz de la Portilla, and one example of that was his willingness to interview this woman without making any effort to shield her identity, because an an undocumented alien, working on a political campaign of someone as corrupt as Alex Diaz de la Portilla, the chances are that if the video was posted without the person doing what I have done in blacking out the video portion, she would become a sitting duck to be deported long before anybody in law enforcement could track her down to get her story and use her as a witness.

In addition, it's unfortunately just a shitty video with bad sound quality and an incompetent moron asking questions.

The one clear piece of information that comes from this video is that this woman, and the others who worked for Diaz de la Portilla were all paid in cash.

This coincides with the information that has been circulating for a while that he hired a woman in Doral, who in turn hired these undocumented Venezuelan women to go out and do the dirty work of getting poor people in public housing to turn over their absentee ballot to them so that they could fill them out the way they were instructed to do.

It should come as no surprise, that Pichel, after circulating this video, and making all the noises about how corrupt Diaz de la Portilla was, decided not to show up for the press conference held at City Hall yesterday afternoon.

I wrote about, and posted photos of  Pichel and his preacher buddy Jose Garcia's antics a couple weeks ago when Pichel and his campaign workers were allowed to circulate among the poor people who showed up for the free food provided by Farm Share,  and since then I received more photos showing that this activity was not just a one time thing, but was a conscious effort by Pichel and Garcia to use this event to try and hustle voters.

PART TWO OF THIS SORRY MESS OF A STORY

The press conference that was noticed for 3 PM yesterday afternoon was the brainchild of Eleazar Melendez, the former Chief of Staff of Commissioner Ken Russell, who several weeks ago pumped $150,000 from his PAC into Melendez's PAC as a way to try and influence the election in District 1, is another devious, unprincipled schemer, who after basically taking advantage of people who actually believe in Apple Pie and Democracy, left them high and dry when he didn't show up for the press conference either.

In Melendez's case he didn't show up because he was told not to show up by his pal and benefactor Commissioner "Sellout" Russell.

The reason that Russell didn't want Melendez to show up was because it would have pissed off Alex Diaz de la Portilla, and Russell continuing to be the sellout that I accuse him of being is now trying to stick his nose as far up Diaz de la Portilla's ass as he can.

When I accused Russell to his face yesterday afternoon that Melendez was not showing up because he had told him not to, Russell replied, "That's not true, he's his own man, and does what he wants."

But that's all bullshit, if Melendez had been anything other then a puppet from the beginning, he wouldn't have been a carpetbagger candidate parachuting into District 1 in an effort to juice up his street cred among progressive democrats, and he damn sure wouldn't have allowed Russell to turn him into a sock puppet with the $150,000 that he received, which, even the Blind Boys From Alabama would have been able to see was a sure fire way to show voters in the district that he was for sale.

PART THREE OF THIS SORRY MESS OF A STORY

Below is the video of the press conference from beginning to end, in English and in Spanish.

You can believe every word of it because this kind of nasty shit has been going on in the City of Miami for decades.  It was after all, Xavier Suarez, the father of Francis Suarez was managed to get his ass removed from office for similar kinds of activity back in the 90's.

Like so much else that goes on in Miami, elections are corrupt because the people entrusted to protect against the corruption are themselves corrupt.

It's as simple as that.

Alez Diaz de la Portilla's history of corrupt campaign behavior has not only gone on for decades, but has become part of the folklore of crooked elections in Miami-Dade County, as has the blind eye that Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Rundle shows every time allegations of Absentee Ballot Fraud are made.  

None of this is rocket science, and if you're industrious and willing to put investigators on the street, it's almost impossible not to witness first hand some of the allegations that Miguel Gabala and Betty Herrera make in this press conference.

But that's not going ot happen, because next year Katherine Fernandez-Rundle might face a real opponent is her 5th or 6th effort at getting reelected, and if she does, she's going to rely on many of these same illagal activities to try and keep her job.

Once these politicians get attached to feeding off the public tit, they'll do just abut anything to keep sucking till they can suck anymore.
