Why?  Isn’t he the CACA assigned to Special Projects?  Isn’t Ultra a Special Project?  Isn’t Ultra a BPMT item that he wants to stay involved with?  This is too much work?!?!?

In addition to all of that, he is the attorney assigned to that board.  He specifically asked to remain on the board for the work…and free lunches. But Victoria is aware and is ok with it.

BECAUSE IT'S MIAMI, BITCHES!

NUMBER 112 - OCTOBER 21, 2018

LAZY IS AS LAZY DOES - A PEEK INTO THE INNER-WORKINGS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE

Over the years I've heard plenty of stories from city employees about how incompetent or lazy their fellow employees are, but I've never, until now managed to get a written example that reveals what goes on behind the curtain in the land of OZ.

Below is an email string that starts with Robert Suarez-Rivas, the Chief Assistant City Attorney sending an email to Daniel Diaz, a young assistant city attorney asking him to attend a workshop in his place.

It's self explanatory from there.

THE LATEST OFFERING FROM RAKONTUR STUDIOS, WHERE CREATIVITY AND CRAZINESS RESIDE IN HARMONY

There is no small irony that Jorge Mas and his partners would have the hypocrisy to name the city property they are currently trying to bullshit the voters into giving them Miami Freedom Park, just as there is no small irony that one of Jorge and Jose Mas's partners in this deal, Marcelo Claure, the Chief Executive Officer of SPRINT signed the first "wireless carrier to sign a direct agreement with Telecommunications Company of Cuba."

But that can all be expected to change if they succeed in getting to voters to go along with them, because then the public will be on the hook for tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars to cover all of the infrastructure costs that will be required to turn this golf course a property with a 750 room hotel, 1 million square feet of commercial space, 150,000 square feet of retail, and yes, a 25,000 set stadium.

There are fragments of a DERM Report written back in the day about the toxicity of the golf course "land" from all the years it was used as a dumping ground for the ashes from the incinerator plant that no one seems to want to talk about, but this is the problem that could end up costing the taxpayers the most money, because, if the numbers that are being whispered about how deep the lakes on this golf course really are, then the $35 million that Jorge Mas claimed he would commit to cleaning up this site will be chump change to the real costs involved, and Mas's answer to that problem back in July was that the city should reach out for state and federal money to cover the remaining cleanup costs.

The voters of Miami should first and foremost not forget that this was a deal put together in a backroom by Francis Suarez and Jorge Mas, with an assist from Commissioner Ken "Sellout" Russell.

Suarez and Russell are the same duo who just tried to pull a fast one with the replacement of real grass on the Brickell Avenue swales with plastic grass, and this and other examples  of how they view the taxpayers and their money show that these guys have proven themselves to be liars and untrustworthy.

In addition to voting down Suarez's effort to become Strong Mayor, the voters of Miami should stand up and VOTE NO on #379!

JORGE MAS TO MIAMI: 'I DO THIS FOR MY FAMILY'S LEGACY, AND FOR THE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS I HOPE TO MAKE FROM THIS DEAL'

Money walks, bullshit talks, and these guys, if the money was right, would screw a statute of Jose Marti, and then show up the next morning with a boque of red roses to pledge allegiance to Cuban independence.

Their patriotism and civic mindedness is defined by the dollar, and by their willingness to lie and mislead a gullible public into believing that the screwing they're going to receive at the hands of these land grabbers is predicated solely on bringing triple A soccer team to Miami when in fact it's nothing other than a guise for building a BILLION DOLLAR real estate development.

The Mas brothers are billionaires, Marcelo Claure is a billionaire, Simon Fuller is a billionaire, along with SPRINT chairman Masayoshi Son, a multi-billionaire who is Claure's mentor and who owns the Korean bank, Softbank is reportedly seen as the real money guy who will finance the development of this property if the voters of Miami agree to turn over Melreese Golf Course.

At this point, none of them seem to need a dime from anyone else to finance their campaign efforts to bamboozle the public.

FIRST THERE WERE ELECTRIC SCOOTERS, NOW CHECK THESE OUT

Ran into these guys at the Formula 1 Street Festival on Saturday. These guys looked like they were having more fun than anyone else, and it turns out these local guys have created these electric Go-Carts, and look like they might be on their way to starting a whole new indoor entertainment option in Miami. Click HERE for a video of what they're up to.
